I bought this in a local thrift shop (where else!). It's one of my favorite mystery pieces. All I know about this is what's in the title. I can't find one of these online. I don't know what it's called or what it's function is. The blue ball is weighted and coated in a sort of rubber and attached to what is, for all intents and purposes, a ping pong ball.

I call it my "Pendulum In A Bottle".

UPDATE 3/25/2017: I FINALLY know what it is, thanks to Zilla's great research! See the post in the Comments below. Much obliged. :-))))

@SEAN68 - yes, it's definitely beautiful. Now if I only knew what to call it, LOL!

I have no idea, but could the bottom "pendulum's" purpose be to "stir" some liquid?
    4. Efesgirl Efesgirl, 7 years ago
kntbemr01 > that is what I initially thought. I can't find any other examples of this on the web and my email to the company was a failed delivery, so..... :-(

This is the coolest thing! I thought it looked like some kind of air lock idea.... but I just stumbled on it just now. On website (danishmodern.com) it says "Aqua Vitae caraf........ This ingeniously designed caraf opens automatically as you tip and pour, and closes as you right the caraf again." and has a picture of your caraf pouring a glass of water. You find such interesting things!

@Zilla Thank you so much for the link!! Doesn't matter that it's for sale because it's not my personal item. Postings of personal items for sale aren't allowed.

      $98.00.....!!!!
