I am trying to find some information on my great grandmother's doll figurine. I have had it for years. My grandmother asked me never to sell it because it was a favorite possession of her mother's.

I do plan to keep it in the family, but I am curious about it. Can anyone give me some insight? I've been dusting around it for years. It's time to solve the mystery!

The doll/figurine has a mark on the bottom. I have attached a picture.

I would really appreciate any information you could give me! Thanks!!

Well I've read that the c inside a circle is a hallmark for Lefton, though I can't confirm that, and seems odd to have the H and M with that mark. C inside a circle may be copyright, so could be H copyright M or HM copyright. Those are my thoughts, FWIW. Good luck!

If you find out anything further about this item, I'd love to hear about it. My mother has one almost just like yours (she got it from her mother). Her figurine is dressed in pink, with black hair. She also has the companion piece; a figure of a boy, with short pants, black hair and pink jacket. These don't strike me as Lefton pieces. They are beautiful though.

Perhaps if you were to post them, Lovecollectibles, someone might be able to help ID them. Yes, I didn't think they looked much like Lefton either.

This one was hand painted in a class not professionally done

Holland Mold was a company that made only molds although most were made in a ceramic class some companies did use their mold and were painted professionally . Just a guess on mark. But worth pursuing . She is priceless as a gift !! and cute
