Vintage Hub Cap / Dust Cover with the initials S M C C on it. It measures approx 3 3/4" across and is made of brass (I think - a magnet does not stick to it). It is threaded on the back inside. Does anyone know which auto company this belongs to? Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

It just may be Mercury Steam Car Corporation of San Francisco in 1923. The company did not last very long.

My info came from Standard Catalog of American Cars. Doubt you will find it anywhere else. Good luck..........
