Seen this at an auction framed trying to find more information out on it do not know the symbols at the bottom with all the signatures any information on this would be greatly appreciated

Just wondering if you can scan the few first line, it's hard to read by photograph.
It's look like a bill of sale for a land, those signature could be the person present at the time, with ink cancel beside the name, but since I can read it, it's hard to be sure.
Will be happy to help you with this, use to work many years ago in archive department in Quebec museum.

The date on it is 1648
Looks like a print of an earlier letter of some significance.
The "signatures" and the persons "stamp" don't show any color variations that would be expected of an actual document. Additionally, the body of the document shows the same thing.

1648 was an important date in the Scottish history, has you already know.
This could be very interesting paper to know what it's write on.

This is possible Scott, any document by a photograph it's hard to figured.
Always better to get the piece in your hand to studies the paper texture, any watermark could be seeing at the time also, with special light , if this is a Royal document from that era, paper use couldn't be forged, even I see before.

It's a copy of the "death warrant" from his trial. As seen here:

On the original, those symbols are wax seals, here they are approximations of them. These are some of the 135 commissioners that tried him.

"Whereas Charles Stuart, King of England, is, and standeth convicted, attainted, and condemned of high treason, and other high crimes; and sentence upon Saturday last was pronounced against him by this Court, to be put to death by the severing of his head from his body; of which sentence, execution yet remaineth to be done; these are therefore to will and require you to see the said sentence executed in the open street before Whitehall, upon the morrow, being the thirtieth day of this instant month of January, between the hours of ten in the morning and five in the afternoon of the same day, with full effect. And for so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant And these are to require all officers, soldiers, and others, the good people of this nation of England, to be assisting unto you in this service.

Of coarse, make sense, that's why the dark ink mark, and 1648 that's the year Charles being trial.
