    found this in an old book , here in el paso texas . The back reads that theses were germans running from russians who bombed them out of their homes.

      Did you just find this flipping through the book? This photo must have gone on quite a journey. Please post any other photos you have, this is great, thanks!

      yes, it was in a very old cook book ( which I sold for $500) along with some newspaper clippings and handwritten recipies , I bought it at a yard sale in an area where many fort bliss military families eventually retire, my guess is that this came from a military family who perhaps may have either been there or at one family member was and they were transferred here the Fort Bliss army base. I found this nearly 10 years ago.
