I pulled these out of my mother in laws closet and I would love to identify them.

    White Seashell 6" wide
    Red Lined 5" wide
    Purple Lined 5 3/4" wide

I think they are clam shells, but I don't what kind and my husband thinks they are a bread of seashell, can anyone help identify?

Hello, I googled "giant clam shell species" under google images and some of your beautiful shells came up.

Thank you Renewv, yes I saw that but all of those were over foot wide, which mine are not, so I wasn't sure if that still qualified as a Giant Clam shell.

Thank you for the hint! I think they are a Maxima Clam shell or Small Giant Clam Shell. Great point in the right direction, thank you.
