    I am in the process of refurbishing an S>S>Stewart,clawhammer ban jo
    with the serial numbers as shown in the photos.It is a 10inch banjo with a 17inch neck or fretboard.However on assembling I find that there's a gap between the body and the neck.Is this normal for this instrumen t.According to Mugwumps this banjo is the American Princess.
    If this gap is not normal,what is the part missing.

      Stewart-McDonald,usually referred to as Stew-Mac. Doubt they will have one you just slip in & that's it. Bon chance.
