    Graniteware originally referred to the speckled pieces and the enamelware the solid colored pieces sometimes with a trim of a different color. Currently graniteware covers all the swirl, mottled and spatter patterns. Watch out for the spatter patterns as they tend to be new and from China.
    These are all vintage pieces. Sadly it is hard to narrow it down as they were made from the late 1800s until the 1950s.

      i have quite a few interesting old large spoons too, and would like a rack like this to display them on. very nice!

      Thank you very much hocultcha. I see a fair amount of gray ones but they tend to be expensive. You will find one eventually.
