#1)The first pick/pic is of my most recent "treasure". I attended a garage sale locally at the Alanon Club here in Howell, Mi. As I browsed around, I noticed they some novels and paperbacks piled high atop this table. I told the person in charge of the sale that if they would be willing to deliver it a couple blocks to my loft, I'd like to buy it.
Little did I know, they also delivered two leaves that I was unaware would be included. Not too bad of a deal for $18.
#2) Some cute coffee cups I acquired at a garage sale for a couple bucks. Not old, but adorable.
#3) Two of my favorite trunks:
The gold colored trunk was discovered at a garage sale in Brighton, MI for $1. The black trunk I rescued from a Re-use/Recycle store in Ann Arbor, MI for $3.75. Gotta love those bargains !
#4) A Heywood Wakefield sideboard/buffet. When I inherited this about ten or twelve years ago from a special education teacher, who worked for the Ann Arbor schools and was relocating, it was covered in olive green paint perched on top of a coat of navy blue paint. I told her she was going to have to pay me to take it off her hands it was so hideous! It is the first piece of furniture I had the joy of refinishing.
