This trunk was in her basement, I was curious as to how old it is, and if you would happen to the history with it? I haven't seen another one like it. Thanks, Jamie

No one can tell me how old this might be?
Hi -- looks to be around 1880's to early 1890's. Without the makers label on most trunks it is hard to know the maker or to pinpoint a specific date of manufacturer. Many of these trunks bought parts from another source so the lock and clasps are found on other trunks as well as yours. This would have been a basic utilitarian model at the time.
