I love purple! Purple doesn’t even look good on me but I keep being drawn to purple stones. This brooch is well made but only marked 925. The way the pin is constructed looks a bit unusual to me. The purple stone could be an amethyst but it could also be a very well cut piece of glass. In any case, it reflects the light in a rather lovely way.

I think you have a Art Deco brooch with a pretty Amethyst. I have to say pinks, purples and lilac are my favourite colours.

Thanks so much for your comment, Peasejean55. I must say that I don't know much about stones at all. The only thing I know is that the edges are very crip and it dosen't look like pressed glass.
I guess I am not the only one who has a soft spot for purple....
