I bought these lovely .5" trefoil (3-petal, clover shape) butterscotch swirl bakelite beads recently. There were also 5 matching 7mm beads. I couldn't recreate exactly because I was missing 20 or so 7mm beads. The original was probably 18" - a popular 30's-40's length. Since I have many of those shorter items I decided to make it as long as possible so I wouldn't need a clasp. Used 5mm brown bakelite beads and some small pewter beads (from the Val stash). Then, because I don't like perfect symmetry (ha ha!) I added the 1" brown barrel bakelite button (plus it hides the crimps).

Hannah displays this w/a matching 1" wide swirly bangle. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you Miss Moon! I've been so busy w/work that I just hang out on the weekends doing this kind of thing. Did you go to LB swap? I didn't do anything but make jewelry all weekend. But most of that is behind so we will have to get together soon.

Thank you Inky - it is very pretty color. I'm thinking originally a peachy light pastel.

Thank you Ivonne - yes, I love researching vintage clothes and accessories -and you're right - if I can't recreate something exactly, I'm going to poke fun at it.

Thank you Elisabeth. Nice isn't it? I wear a lot of dark brown. This will look good with my Fall sweaters. Thanks for the nice comments.

Thank you Kyra - I love how it turned out even if it took me a few tries. Originally I used some other 7mm beads that were close to same color, but I wanted the longer length.

      Thanks friends for the love!
