Well the only thing I could find that references crossed swords over a four leaf clover is a German U-boat emblem. Perhaps this bracelet is from that region?

Its damascene, most likely from Spain. I dont think many other countries, with the exception of Japan, produce this type of jewelry (id never say never, but every piece Ive seen has been from one or the other). The designs in Spanish damascene are inspired by Moorish elements I think. Not sure if its still made in Damascus, Syria at all?

I am looking further on the web at this jewelry, and have noticed that a high percentage of it is decorated with animal and plant life rather than symbols.

Katherine - that's very interesting! I can't find much else about it, though. I'll keep looking!

It's a lovely bracelet Efes, but I'm not sure about Damascene. The gold appears to be applied (painted?) to the top. If that's the case, it wouldn't be Damascene. If it were, the gold would have been manually embedded into the black background and you could actually feel the grooves where the gold was placed. Also, I've never seen this type of bracelet mounted in a white metal surround. They typically use a gold color metal. You never know as there are always exceptions. Either way I figured I'd give my two cents worth.

Rick55 - yes, I have also been looking at that. That one symbol, the clover and crossed swords, is interesting.

THANK YOU, everyone, for your help and comments.
