a small little gem

i found this little table at a charity sale , it was badly damaged and looked to have been possibly left outside for a long time, nobody was even looking at it much less buying or bidding on it. I purchased it and took it home and did my best at a restoration. I know nothing about it other than the inlay looks to be a crest of some sort and underneath it had a couple of numbers the number 2 and the number 3 in ink on small squares of paper written in what looks to be "old english" print. The table is 20 inches high and 22 inches wide, it has a trestle base and a small drawer in the center. I am not sure what the wood is. I would appreciate any information or thoughts on what this little gem is! Thank you so much.
