What is this thing? it looks and feels pretty old. it's heavy and larger than it looks at 8-9" across. No signature that i can find. Unfortunately, the mouth is chipped on the upper lip. is it a large flower frog? or what? any info appreciated!

I believe jscotto363 nailed it - it is a toothbrush/soap dish holder. Here's a similar one:

Tooth brush holder:)
i saw the same frog listed as a toothbrush holder online, but the holes are pretty small to put a toothbrush in. mine sure wouldn't fit in there!
