Posting this for Ho2culta and Antiquerose.

I think this 1940's ballerina planter in soft aqua is from the same timeframe and maker as Ho2culta's matte blue planter. She's a pretty 8"x5", also unmarked but per etsy made by Haeger. This planter has the exact kiln nicks on its unmarked base.

Here's the link if anyone is interested:

Love Love this :) Deco at it's best ! I question the MCM attribution though and it is a tad out of the period though.

Thank you mike for loving this deco lovely. Here's my thoughts on these unmarked beauties and why 40's might be attributed to mid-century. Popular designs were copied into the 50's and 60's and later. Usually you can tell because the glaze and ceramic is thinner on those later copies. They are still pretty and great to have. Also, my ballerina was such a popular design - she's not expensive because it's hard to confirm the original maker.

This just needs some flowers in it to transform it into something spectacular.

I would have called this 30s Art Deco, based on the styling and also because of the popularity of ballet during the Balanchine era. It's an interesting vase, Val, love the color. :)

Thanks ho2cultcha - you have great pottery.

Blade - flowers that look like umbrellas? Zinnias, mums, daisies? Thanks!

Yes Jean - a MM moment!!

Katherine - Thanks for your comment. They made many of these ladies in the 40's and 50's in different colors. I like this aqua dancer.

      Thank you everyone for love!
