Came across this stove at Tex Johnson Antiques in Adamstown, PA (it was already sold). Although buried beneath other kitchen collectibles, I liked the stoves heat gauge (it goes to 12... better than 11).

Also got in an interesting conversation with the shop's owners, who when they heard I was from California told me that years ago the local antiques folks would pack semi truck trailers full of Pennsylvania stoves like this to take out West and sell in CA. "We don't have the inventory to do that anymore" they said.

Part of my summer 2010 whirlwind east coast antiques tour.

Do you know around what year this was manufactured? My boyfriend has one almost exactly like it but made by Mt Penn Stove Works in Reading, PA (that's what it says on the gauge). Paint on it is still original and there is no rust on it. It's in perfect condition. How much do you think it's worth?

I am looking for a thermostat for a 1920 L&H stove any recommendations where to look? Thank you, Linda in Maryland.
