On the left is what I believe to be a machinist's jig. I was wrong in my last post so maybe I am wrong now. No writing on it at all and it appears from the condition of the metal to be made of high carbon steel.
On the right is some sort of scribe. It is made by LS STARRETT and the "point" pivots as though it was on some kind of ball. Should I be looking for additional parts?
What you call a jig is actually a machinists V block clamp.
Not sure but what you call a scribe I believe is one part a surface gauge or possibly mounted in a dial indicator.
I believe that tool is an edge finder or "wiggler" used on milling machine for set up purposes.

The edge finder makes sense. This piece is really well made. (I have yet to find anything w/ Starrett Co on it that is not real made.) Again, not something I can use but good to know. I really appreciate the help.
I don't want to in any way disrespect this site. Is there a preferred way to sell tools?

An edge finder and a wiggler are two totally different tools but both detect or find a surface or center point. One resets automatically and the other does not. The one shown above is actually a wiggler with one of several available attachments. The end screws off and the tip can be replaced.
