This was a Christmas present to myself. This is a very rare spinning centre diamond dial pendant. The mounting is solid 18k and is hallmarked with a crest or animal. The diamonds are raw or Rose Cut into bezel setting. The pendant measures about 2.00" inches tall and has a lovely rose gold tint. All the pieces are original including the chain is stamped k18.

Peacejean, I have done research and have handled a few pieces that are harem. They always have a spinning dial or spinning centre. That is removable and replaceable. This came upon me as a first one in pendant or necklace form. It's tested to be solid 18k. That's why I had to get this one :). Uncommon piece. Thank you for asking.
Hi Moonstonelover, I can see it is very old and looks Indian. I'm really interested as I was in India a couple of years ago and visited the Taj Mahal. The guide told me a story of 2 princesses who lived there but never married because they couldn't find anybody suitable to marry. They basically lived their lives in a gilded cage and they were never allowed to leave this gilded cage, I found that extremely sad. I know they didn't live in a harem, but I can imagine both of these ladies wearing this beautiful necklace
Peacejean, how sad indeed :( I came across this necklace all original from a jewelry hustler. No idea whom could have owned it. But he seems to have an in with very h usual pieces. Intact he promised it to me first. So the word got out that he had this necklace. He was bombarded with offers from all over. I, too came see one of the princesses wearing this piece. Maybe, just maybe it fell out of there hands :).
