My mother purchased this water color in Harrison Arkansas in the early 1960's. That Christmas a Christmas Seal was issued of this water color by the Foundation for Crippled Children. My mother placed one on the back of the painting. My confusion and question is how was my mother able to purchase this. I would think that the foundation would want the original water color in their possession. I have contacted the foundation and the Arkansas Historical Society but no one will respond to me. It would be wonderful if someone could shed some light on this for me. I don't live far from Cincinnati and thought about taking it to the Art Museum hoping someone there might have some knowledge but they deal in priceless art and I was afraid of wasting their time and not really up to being the joke of the day. I would just like to know anything about this, but then curiosity killed the cat, you know.

Edit the first picture just slightly. reload it and it should go in the right way up. Do the same for the other two. I'd get rid of the three unnecessary postings too. Deleting a posting is not difficult to do.

I, too, have this picture. I am in Louisiana. When first purchasing the picture from an antique market, I was able to find some information, but can no longer for some odd reason!
