English Country Life, by Thomas Miller, 1859. With nearly 300 illustrations.
Published by Routledge, Warnes, And Routledge
London and New York. (For a few reasons, this one I believe came from London.)

The binder's sticker, from W. Bone & Son:
    https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k8IL0nQACtk/VghkxL3JN8I/AAAAAAAAcdI/wwZNqwuM7RM/w752-h533-no/Birthday%2B021.JPG

I'm afraid that the covers are detached albeit still on the spine, which of course then has to also be detached. As a restorer of antique books, though, I can fix that.
The issue is that only one side has stickers. That's what is meant to be the back.
I want them on the front, but that would mean detaching the covers from the spine, flipping them, and trying to go from there as these stickers are quite old (original?) and cannot now be removed.
So it sits in a dark (aka safe) cupboard with other projects in wait.

I picked it out as a birthday present to me and a restoration project.
It is based off of the authors' experiences and seems to be based off of an anthology of his works over the years.

Anyone know anything on the book's scarcity, duration of printing, etc.?

I checked for your book and found it on Abes Books. I put in a search for English Country life book by Thomas Miller and it came right up. scroll past the first two listings, they are print by demand editions. A couple more places down is a wonderful looking copy. There is another I see directly above this that is not in as good of shape as the one above it. Hope this helps you out, Tlynnie

That one wasn't there before (when I searched last year) and is a few years newer, but it matches. So thank you kindly. :)

Sorry I did not reply before now, I had taken a kind of "vacation" from computers. Actually, I got a pressie in the form of a new life, a Maine Coon kitten I named Beauregard. His name in french means, "Beautiful gaze" and he has breathed new life into me too :)

You are very welcome for the heads up to Abes Books. I look for all kinds of books there, it is one of my favorite things, books. Next to Native American basketry, that is..
