Like many glass styles these were made by glass producers from all around the globe in the 1960s. You probably have seen these around abouts.
I know these are Japanese made but am still researching who made what.

The blue and red ones here have been made by the same glass house and have a 6 lobed foot. This is the most common style I have seen but I am yet to find out who made them.

The orange vase is differently made and has a 5 lobed foot. It has a sticker on it "ENESCO Imports Japan", but that hasn't helped ID the maker.
It may have been made by Tajima Glass as it shares some similarities with some other Tajima pieces, but I am not sure of that attribution.

I have also seen 8 lobed vases labelled PINE TGK which I think is Tajima also.
TGK probably stands for Tajima Garasu Kaisha, or Tajima Glass Company.

These vases can range from little, 10cm (4in) to huge, 45cm (18in) but my tallest is this red one at 28cm (11in).

    Investigations continue.

Very colorful grouping :)...I see these all the time but I'm never sure who they're made by or if they are modern or antique. I finally found a Bohemian made clear one a few years ago.

Only on certain things Peggy!! Thanks

I'm sure some you see are Japanese too Mike, but without stickers they are hard to distinguish. I used to have more of these but think they were moved on before Japanese glass became my real interest. They were cheap glass in their day.

      Your grouping is soo nice!

Thank you for sharing you knowledge and beautiful collection :-D

      Love these.
The feet look like the glass I posted so if you find out let us know.

I have a clear one, but identical to your blue one. I always thought it was crap. Like most of my glass, I still liked it. I always thought it was very sparkly and pretty. Ya got me thinkin'.

I've never heard of Elephant foot vases, but I can see why. I love the little twist they threw in on the red one!

Thanks Kyra. Groups often look good, no effort required!

Thanks again Scott. Always happy to have you here.

I'll have another look Gruff. Thanks for the love.

Dean, thanks. Like I said there is lots of these about and they were cheap glass.
I laughed at the crap comment - certainly not great glass, but fun!

Ta Rick. The twist is good. Some are really twisted, but that's a bit too much like me so I don't have any like that......

I have that red one! I thought it was Italian. I looked to where it SHOULD be - and it's not there. OMG - I HATE when I do that! I put it somewhere else. Probably in a box I took to a sale two years ago. At least now I know what it is!

One of these days, I'm gonna re-open my boxes and find all 'new' treasures again.
    16. racer4four racer4four, 8 years ago
Laughing Celiene....we all have "the boxes".
      Thanks!
