    This little guy is just over an inch across. Handpainted in Oaxaca - Huatulco - which is a lovely little tourist destination. i can remember before there was any development in Huatulco, and then the hotels and resorts came. i liked it more before!

      You clicked the Mystery button, so here's what I know:
      These are mass-produced for vendors. Commonly seen at little shops around hotels and in towns where many tourists travel. I have a turtle and a dragon.
      If you pull that little string, he will break.

      I will admit this shell's edges are less common than the smooth, non-frilled (shall we call them that) shells I've seen.
