      These thimbles remind me my grandma. She used exactly same metal thimbles like on the picture.

      I'm originating from the former Czechoslovakia - as my grandma was born there in 1903 and lived all her life there. I don't speak French, but I think you stated some of your thimbles are from Czech Republic :) So this is a bit of reminiscence for me...

      I'm from Slovakia (part of former Czechoslovakia). The language and culture is very similar in both Czech and Slovak Republic. I'm married to an Englishman so now I live in England.

      Vdaka, mam sa dobre. Paci sa mi tato stranka - milujem takzvany 'junk'. Hlavne ked je to stare. Moj manzel si mysli ze ja som nieco ako 'hoarder' - ale on len zvelicuje. A ty ako zijes?

      setkaj se 3 slepice, jedna anglicka, jedna nimecka a jedna slovenska.

      prvni, nemka rekna "ich snezla dezet vajez !"
      aglicka na to rekla " i have snesla at least dwatcet wajec !
      slovenka slepica na to odpovi : "preco bych' si namahala prdku' kdiz sa dajou kupit! " ......
