I found this beautiful small cup or effigy at a shop in Atlanta that frequent. It has no identifying marking and measures approximately 3 inches. The front carving appears to be that of a man and the back the face of an elephant. The bottom of the item has 2 spikes for standing. I think it is absolutely gorgeous, but have not idea of when or who may have made it. My thoughts are that maybe pre-Columbian. Any information anyone can offer would be helpful.

Interesting. I also have a piece of what may very well be Pre-Columbian art. Mine looks like a sort of urn with a man in mourning holding onto it.
