Only the Japanese could get away with a piece of glass like this.
Who else would use the colour combo of raspberry, white and bright yellow?

Made by Iwata Glass in the Toshi Iwata years it has his trademark use of pulegoso. I think he had shares in a bicarb soda manufacturer!

Anyway, clear glass (bubbled) has been covered by raspberry glass (bubbled) covered by yellow and white stripes. The glass has then been worked and folded and surprisingly, after that has been thickly cased in clear.
As a result the outside of the bowl feels round and you cannot feel the folded glass, just see it. There has been lots of stages in making this bowl.

Very different, but one that really grabs me!

    Diameter: 15cm (6in)

Very nice combo!Raspberry colour gently contrasts with the two others and doesn't discord.

As one who obsesses over glass, my saying that this piece is incredible, is a very good compliment.
