The brutalist in me loves this wonderful 1" wide patinated ring made from a fork. I found it at a blacksmith booth in Krakow market in the old downtown square. It wasn't very expensive - smooth, big and dramatic. I grabbed it up. The artist seemed annoyed that I was buying from the $8 pile, but then 2 other tourists saw me and grabbed some too.
Next to his booth was this amazing chocolate display of tools.
I love your ring! I appreciate Brutalist jewery. No calories as compared to all the chocolate next to it! LOL
Thank you Bonnie for loving brutes! I have never seen chocolate tools before - have you?
After using these tools, you'll have to link your fingers... ;-D
The fring is very appealing !
It seems you had fun during your visit :-)
Kyra - yes working with these tools! I loved my visit to Poland. My boyfriend is a fast moving tourist. We saw a lot!! but did not get many chances to shop. Was happy to buy this ring. Only bought ONE amber nugget. I'll post it here later when I find the pic.
No chocolate tools in the Netherlands that I know of, lol!
A beautiful ring, very clever work !

Love the ring...as for chocolate tools: yes we have them occasionaly in some shops here in my city. Belgium is THE nr 1 chocolate country as you must know...Almost bought a pair of these chocolate tools last week since there was a big discount...but bought some other chocolate instead. Cantshow you what I bought because chocolate doesnt survive long in my company ;-)
Thank you Newtimes! I am sure Belgian chocolate is VERY delicious. I haven't seen chocolate tools before :) I buy a little dark chocolate w/sea salt once a month or so - it doesn't last long either. LOL
Omg val: 1 piece of chocolate/month? No way!!!
I couldn t survive one day without chocolate...and not one teeny tiny piece, but loads of it...my boyfriend always looks at price per kg because I eat mountains of it every year ;-)
Ha ha! Well you must not eat anything else because you are so thin. I used to eat a lot but over the past 5 yrs I've lost my sweet tooth. Sadly, I'm still 10 lbs overweight....hmm must be that red wine diet :)
I wanted to see what this ring was...I laughed to see it was yours! Only you, I thought ;) Okay, I guess me too cuz I think it's kinda awesome too...
BTW love the tools too!
Share are you saying I have a funky forky sense of jewelry? Aren't those chocolate tools great? Makes me hungry right now I don't have any sweets...
Thank you ,Mary for the post.I've just read carefully all the conversation and feel honoured by your dedication !

Hi Ivonne - thanks to you for giving me great travel tips! I'll send you an email of the amber nugget that I bought in Sopot and the necklace I made it into. It turned out great but from all new materials. Have a great weekend!
