I have always loved depression glass. Just not as much as I love it now. The texture and feel of the deep carving into these pieces of glass is absolutely beautiful. I have had to control myself in my purchase and limit to those that I cannot live without. This deeply etched vase is one of approximately 7 that I own. It measures around 10 inches tall and 3 in with. And of course it has some weight to it, as most. Not sure of the pattern or maker.

The above two articles on Depression and Cut glass should show the difference quite clearly.
I hope our glass expert will be along. His name is TallCakes, and he has a wealth of knowledge about glass.

Your vase in Imperial Glass #555 from their NUCUT line c1914-37; sometimes you'll see them pattern listed by collectors as Whirling Star. C1914 qualifies the pattern as EAPG

EAPG = Early American Pattern Glass ; i.e 1860s-1920 and part of a pattern set

Thanks TallCakes for the correction. I've had that wrong for a long time. Explains a lot. Please forgive me Midnight - that's not good pointing you in the wrong direction.
