Hi, Found this in my Mom's closet. Never saw it before,It's about 19" long & 5" wide.It's one piece of wood, some kind of hide covering the hollowed out part. The bow has horse tail hair on it. Weird! Just looking for info on age & where the heck did it come from. Is this a back woods Fiddle? Thank you for any info

Pretty neat . I wonder how those strings would have played ? I love it but have no idea who would have made it . Makes me think of a tribal piece from Africa to India but not USA made ?
Thank you Manikin for that info. Yes it is very crudely made.Would love to be able to date it. Can't ask my mom, she passed away & I was cleaning out her house. Found 3 Violins too. My mom was a tag & estate sale person, so who knows where she got them.:)
