This is a cardboard coffee "tin" from the Weideman company, Cleveland.
I got at an auction when I bought a box lot, I almost pitched it because of the condition but I did some research and decided to keep it. I have only seen two others and they were in worse shape than this, mine has the original lid. The picture on the front shows the Weideman Co. building, there are both horse & wagons and motor vehicles. I am guessing turn of the century. I can barely make out dates on the back-- 98, July 24, oo -- above patents pending. Thanks for looking! Rob
Love the graphic:)
Thanks nicefice for the love it!
Thanks Trey! Yeah, it`s a good look at the early 1900`s !
thanks bb2 for the love it!
Thanks Nicefice, Yeah, being cardboard was one of the reasons that I kept it, figuring how easy for this to be tossed into a fire when they were done with it. I`m glad they were thrifty back then! I have not tried to remove the lid and don`t plan to. Thanks again! Rob
