Another old chair I have stored from my mother that I would like to identify. This has really fine hand carving on the top back and larger cutout type carving on bottom. Also small metal wheels.

Because of the amount of furniture makers who had left no records at all which is at least 99% even with the famous ones we know, there is not much help to be givin. If your mother gave info at all where she got the chair, it would be possible to go to the history room in a main library and see what you can find of advertisements, photos etc of the main mfgrs in that area to find similarities.

Does the back adjust? Possibly a rod with hooks, etc.? If so, it is called a Morris Chair. Very nice piece, enjoy it!
