These are two Royal typewriters, both made around the same time in the late 1950s. Back in those days, Royal built, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful, stylish, and advanced typewriters of all time, at least with the exception of the typewriters made back in the Victorian Years. The two machines in photographs are the nicest Royal typewriters that I have ever personally come across. The silver machine with blue keys on the left is a circa 1955 Royal RE Electric Typewriter. This typewriter was perhaps the pinnacle model of Royal's typewriter product line at the time. Although mine is silver and blue, I have seen them in colors such as pink and even lime green! The two tone mint green and grey typewriter on the right is a circa 1957 Royal FP Typewriter. This model was one of Royal's most popular typewriters at the time, and as a result are still frequently found in good working order inexpensively to this day. I have seen them in other colors such as two tone grey, pink, sky blue, and even yellow. Both machines are all original and were found in southwestern Piedmont North Carolina. It's machines such as these which make the typewriters of the 1950s some of my favorites. Thanks for reading!
