The other day I was going through my jewelry and bagging it up for storage, when I came upon this one. I posted it as unsigned, but looking at it now, ( more experienced ) think it might be Juliana. Looking for thoughts.

You're very welcome; wish I could help but all of my studying and research was geared strictly to the characteristics of the bracelets; however, it does have that "Juliana" look, very beautiful brooch!

This is gorgeous Ken :) Julianna makes some great pieces. I don't think I have any, but I still keep an eye out. I need to study up some more too.

So pretty, the opaque blue is dramatic and unusual. Don't be mad....about 5 yrs ago 40's-60's rhinestone brooch designs were remade and very popular. I have a feeling this is one of those sold at Macy's and Dillards....I love it! But I have some doubts about the back frame.

Mary, not mad at all. I am looking for all opinions and you could be right! If it turns out to be Juliana, good and if not, no big deal. Thank you, for your thoughts :)

Nice looking brooch. I love turquoise, so love the turquoise-y color (hope I spelled "turquoise-y" right??? "Turquoise-ie" ???). :)

NevadaBlades, thank you! It does sort of have that color. LOL!

Wonderful whether Juliana or not. I love the crystals against the turquoise.

Oh nuts I'm so happy it didn't get the bag but lives another day. To me the style is 20s 30s but I'm not sure if your maker was that early. I have a very very similar colors but style a little different. I think yours is lose set but mine is fixed set.
Pls keep it out to enjoy. I just love it. That blue turquoise is just divine xxxx

IMHO, I'm going to say this isn't D&E. For one thing, the stones are in even numbers and D&E preferred to work in odd numbers. Stones, prongs, settings, clasp, good quality, however, I would guess not Julianna, though others may have a different opinion. Whoever made it, it is a lovely brooch, Ken! :)

      Lovely brooch, but not D & E.
Mary is right, pin mechanism is wrong for D & E.
Katherine also right, odd #'s instead of even.
      No matter....It's beautiful.
