I acquired this old rocker from a very nice woman, but she was not able to tell me anything about it. Any ideas?

Desperately trying to find out the age of this old high chair for a baby/child? I discovered it in the back of an old junk antique store in Social Circle, Georgia, years ago. I know it was a high chair, the armrests were cut off to make a small child's high chair. There is no attached tray of any kind, nor was ever a place where one may have been. It was originally put together with pegs?? Not nails! The cherub on the back just seems to be very very old...but I don't have a clue! Help me someone! There is a spindle missing from the back.
