I know knothing about this western flyer. I got this from a very good friend who found it in a barn. Before it was in the barn but after it was being riden he and I think it was a lawn ortiment because it is so rusted and the barn is in perfect shape
Don't know if I'm seeing right or not but it looks like this frame has been cut ! Do Not ride this until someone with some knowledge of bicycles looks at it. I think the 'top bar' of the frame, between the seat and the handle bars is missing and this makes it very dangerous. This one is worse than the Schwinn........ You could really get hurt on one of these.....I hope you didn't have to give any money foor these bikes.. if so then that adult is not your friend..

No they where free but This one is not in working order
I don't think the frame has been cut, I think this bike most likely had a tank/bar that was removable and it's just gone. There was a lot of bikes like that
It might have. The part on the frame where the missing bar would be is more like something that would have had something that could have been removed. If you zoom in on the picture you can see little holes under the seat and something that is like a "hook" under the handle bars
