This is a locket and 1 earring ,it is so beautiful .. This is gold with garnets or rubies and beautiful flashy opals spaced with crystals…Anyone seen anything like this ?

    So beautiful!!!
    I couldn't find another on the net, but can say it is around 1915, those spring ring plain clasps are early ones :-)

    Some longer guard chains had too split oval stones with a faceted crystal rondelle, but opals are rarer than amethyst or citrine used in this way.

    Great pieces! That earring is interesting, because it looks to be a clip earring that has had a post added. 1900, give or take. I agree with kyra on about the spring clasp.

    Search for marks and take close up pictures.That might help to identify the country of origin, the maker and the date of manufacture.Modern cameras have excellent close up options.The style of the jewelry does not help much, the marks do.

    That locket design I've seen before, maybe on CW, someone may recognize it. Lovely pieces! :)
