Rose bowl is blown of cased glass. The interior layer is a chartreuse green colour, and the middle glass layer is opaque white with the exterior having a translucent pink layer that has an incised, Crackle decor pattern. The pink layer appears as if it is large pieces of frit with a textured appearance. The three applied feet to serve as the base is blown of clear and opalescent glass. Each applied foot has a stamped flower prunt at the top and there is pinched rigaree motifs as well that have opalescent on the tips. The bottom of each foot is cut and polished. Polished pontil on the bowl.

Attributed to Birmingham glass house, John Walsh Walsh. The decor pattern resembles Arboresque, from Stevens and Williams. However, this decor was produced during the Art Deco era, 1930. The S&W cased glass decor is a translucent colour with opaque white Crackle pattern. This bowl has three layers which John Walsh Walsh produced cased glass as such in the early to mid 1880's. Also, the applied foot is similar to other known pieces.

    5" tall.
The rim on the rose bowl is 4-1/8" diameter.
The applied motifs at the top is 5" diameter, at best.
The applied base is 4-3/8" diameter.
    Overall, 6-3/4" wide.

Wow. I love the chartreuse interior and it's contrast to the frilly pretty pink.

Lovely! Just today I had a lamp base shipped in from Great Britain. It is extremely similar in pattern, however the interior is opaque white as opposed to green. It has the same attached feet with the sticky bits, and the floral prunt... Do you suppose that it too could be attributed to the Birmingham glass house, or Stevens & Williams?

Hi hblakenship. I'd love to see what your lamp base looks like when it arrived. Stevens and Williams produced the Aboresque decor towards 1930 if I'm not mistaken. Can't really say what your lamp base is without seeing it. Congratulations, with your finding too!
