This was the first phone on the wall of my childhood home. Was wondering what kind it is? Also year of manufacture? It had a battery in the bottom and the top door still has the magnet for the ringer. The paper in the photo was inside the battery compartment of the case.

Looks to me to be a Western Electric tandem, could use better photo's of the inside top box. The diagram was used inside a Sumter single box wall phone.

Beautiful phone & would love to have it as a restoration job . Not familiar with Sumter made phones & if they made phones under contract or were independent. I'll give you 6 goats & 3 copper bracelets for it ! LOL !! I'm the one people will warn you about if I haven't scared you off ! Welcome to CW, aka CyberAsylum. Wish I could say that my 1st post was this impressive !

That's a great phone. Looks like it has been out in the barn. Time to bring it inside and clean it up.

If you want to fix it up some, contact House of Telephones. They moved so you have to look them up O/L .
