I am uncertain if this is homemade or not, but I have had it over 50 years and cannot find a makers mark on it. I think the seat part of the chair is especially well made. Any ideas out there about this chair?
A cute little ladder chair. It's not possible to find out if it was made by a factory or in somebody's hobby shop. All these sorts of pieces are made by hand, anyhow. Here is a full sized child's ladder/rush rocker from the 19th century, similar in design:
