LOUMANAL
(367 items)

We spent the weekend cleaning by hand with SILVO all the silver jewelry we purchased at flea markets, garage sales, estates sales etc..during our 3 month stay in Florida. We tried to follow our budget of "not more than $20.00" and we were successful in 98% of the time. This is a small display of the stuff we brought back. The non-silver items are the brooches (in front) that are from Czechoslovakia and are made of zinc-sterling material and the WEISSCO Bracelet that we dated as being from 1947 is made of Rhodium. The pendant on the chain in the very centre of the 1rst picture is also Czechoslovakian and the glass is quite special. I'll answer your questions on this page if you want more info. on each item. Your collection is great!!!
I live in a beach community here on the east coast of Florida
And everything I have posted here was purchase here locally!!!
There's always an estate sale or garage sale going on plus we have a lot of thrift shops and the flea market as well... It is a pickers paradise...

We were on the other side of Florida near Tampa and the Estate sales were unbelievable. Of course SELF CONTROL is a must when going sleuthing. You seem to be an expert at it based on your Gold finds. Thanks for the comment. RER (BOB)

Great harvest! And great cleaning too :-)
I wish we had here so many garage sales or thrift to haunt... most show only modern used toys, tires, forks with broken teeth :-/

I agree w/Junkman, Karen and Kyra -and I can't pick out a favorite! I lived in Hollywood, FL in mid 80's working at a thrift store in Fort Lauderdale part-time - I found amazing items then, still have many which have been shared here. So fun to sit down with treasures and clean them up. I love turquoise necklace 3rd from right.

Thanks valentino97! That particular necklace was one where we had to fork out $20.00 for, so I remember it well. It is quite beautiful. RER(BOB)
