I have a Rembrant Masterpiece floor lamp that has very unusual candelabra tops. Trying to find out info about its purpose??? One has these 4 holes in it with what looks like old wire/metal in it. Two of them will flip over and spring back??? Also if anyone knows the age as well, would be appreciated. Do not want to reside until can find out the info on the candelabra part just in case extremely rare, as it may be since I cannot find it anywhere. Even considered it may be a foreign lighting from another country???

The candelabra part you mention is actually a holder for a circline (round) fluorescent bulb (T9 orT5 style - usually 32 watt), hence the 4 holes where the lamp plugs in. This needs a ballast to start usually under the base of the lamp This style lamp had two switches - one for the fluorescent and one for the middle bulb which is a mogul (larger base) incandescent 3-way (100-150-200 watt) bulb. Adaptors for the mogul socket are available for a standard size bulb are available as is the mogul style bulb. you might need to get replacement ballast also. Check to see if power cord was replaced. If it was, consider rewire because it probably had cloth wires and are rotten. hope this helps. FYI. Rembrandt lamp corp was in Chicago. this was probably made 30's to 50's. I'm not an appraiser though. how much do you want if you still have?
