These Standard Oil glass flames for the big 5x7' oval signs are getting impossible to find, so when we found a Collector friend with this one for sale we had to jump on it, even tho we don't dare actually put it up on one of our signs for fear it might test the eye of some kid with a BB gun. This one is said to have come from a bulk plant in Wyoming many years ago? Pretty expensive piece of glass is my opinion! I'd rather have a nice sign for the same money but that was not my option so I jumped at the chance to get the flame! Now we have two of them at the Museum.
I think this is an outstanding piece of glass and deserves to live indoors!

Thx for the suggestion. Good one. Unfortunately we don't really have any indoor places to display stuff other than the Service Stations which are full of antique cars & very few people actually even look inside of them. Alas we will likely trade them off for signs at some point if we can't find a way to display them. We shall see?
