This found me today. I have been unable to find its like online.
This brooch consists of 5 carved glass beads one large rectangular bead in the center and two eye-shaped beads on the end with two carved glass roses affixed to the tops of the eye-shaped beads. There are 2 thick silver bars with engraving on them and a small red crystal in the center of the diamond design on those bars. The red bead in the center is approximately 1/8" thick. The brooch is held together by an amber resin. The clasp is simple and sturdy. The barrel (?) and hinge are thin. The brooch measure 2 3/8" long and 1" at its widest point. I love it and I am guessing that it is either French or Czech, but I am probably wrong. Thanks for looking.

Agree with Gillian, gorgeous! Molded glass like this I have no clue, looks more like carved stone to me. I hope one of the experts here can help. :)

Could this be cherry Amber. My Mom had a pendant similar to this and that is what was. So hard to tell by photographs. Wish I was there in person to see the amazing treasures posted on this site.

Hey, alliececile, I wish that this was cherry amber, but it is glass, alas. This site has done nothing but encourage me to go hunting for more treasures.

Ha freiheit, after someone suggested it might be amber, I picked it up just to reassure myself that glass was the final verdict. I then smelled the glass, hoping that it smelled like sour cherry candy. It did not.
