    (1156 items)

I was up at the co-op today still setting up my booth but I always have time to look around at the others vendor's treasures. One lady had a lot of costume jewelry and I noticed this unusual item sitting on the counter. I fumbled to open it and the lipstick shot out the end of it's spring loaded compartment like a bullet ! It landed on the floor about ten feet away ! What the....I've never seen anything like it so I had to have it. The James Bond style mechanics of it just amused me and the price was very low. Actually it's worth quite a bit more than I paid for it once I checked online. It still has what appears to be an unused refill of "Certainly Red" lipstick inside. There are fancier ones than this but I like the simple faux jade or malachite top. I'm guessing these are from the 50's or 60's.-Mike-

Thanks so much OGF for the "love" and best wishes. :) @ Val... the clerk was laughing too. Luckily it was a carpeted floor and the case was metal. It looked like a rifle shell casing laying on the floor. I felt more like "Get Smart" than James :)

Lipstick could be mistaken for a rifle shell casing.
