Mike... I need your help identifiying this little kids frame... i dont know if its old (pre-war) or if its just got so much patina that it looks old and is really just a 70's 80's re-pop or something.
The Details: The frame, fork, and Handlebars/stem are the o.e. as found in the desert of Southern Utah. It has a Vin # on the Bottom Bracket so i wasnt sure if that means it not very old or what. The number is C45078. and can be seen in the photo of the BB. I decided to put some wheels and white walls on it and get a running drive train under it for my 4 year old son who calls it his "old-bike" so all the accesories and drive train are from donor and new parts i bought. The tire size that seems to be the best fit is 20"... i'd really like to know if you know what this little beaut is. It had a head badge of some kind at one time but is missing and there is no real ghosting of a badge shape just the two scew holes that held it in place. Any Help would be greatly appreciated!!! just so you know your not talking to the american pickers they just have a link to this site on theyre website but there are many very knowledgeable collectors on here that will give you some information on the bike

If there was a original front sprocket it would be easier to indentify. Maybe someone will know serial numbers. Cool pair of bikes. I build and ride customs too. Also,,nice door handles.
Thanks Vontrike.... the handles are out of a Semi-Truck! they are pretty awsome. Ya i wish i had the original sprocket... i'm hoping somebody recognizes the frame... for all i know its a huffy or a murry from the 80's and just was very weathered? either way its cool looking in its patina and white-walls
1952 Schwinn... I'm not sure what model. I'm not that familiar with the 20 inchers...
The frame looks pretty old to me, as to the design of the frame, maybe late 30's, early 40's. Are there chain adjusters on the rear of the frame ?
Yes there are frame adjusters... Obviously rusted solid. They are square headed and threaded.
Yea,,it's for sure a early bike. I will keep looking, but alot of these frames looked alike. Those apes look like 25's on yours. Very sweet.
Probably not a 53 Schwinn then... I thought I was on to something with that serial number....lol....
It's kinda like a early Roadmaster frame, but the jury is still out.

I have a 38 Colson that has a very similar frame. The curve on the top and middle bar are the same on my Colson and some pre war Hawthornes
