Hello, I will apologize firstly if I have put this vase in the wrong category.

This vase has come to me from my family.... it apparently belonged to my great grandmother. I know absolutely nothing about glass, and the only thing that I can offer up is that I have seen this shape listed as art nouveau.

Now this vase is 35cm high, some of the decoration appears to be enameled. To me, the symbols seem to be very busy all together..... I expected the meaning of them to somehow merge together.....but that hasn't worked for me!

One family member suggested that this vase was bought as a blank and then hand decorated at home.....would this be likely??

As you can guess I really need help here lol........would be most grateful to hear from anyone with your thoughts. Thanks.

This bulb vase, for a big bulb plant, seems to be done by a principiant but the enamel is as old as the vase. Probably it was done in the refinery for some one that was beginning to paint. Adore the bugs.

Hello kivatinitz. Thank you very much for this wonderful information, it is very helpful!
Bulb this to sit a big bulb into the top section with water in the bottom section of the vase and then leave it there until the bulb flowers?
This info is so I will have something to tell the family! Really appreciate you taking the time to tell me this.....thanks again, and for the love, regards Judy
