      There's a lot of fans on ebay and internet. I'm not a good online researcher, (crappy slow computer) but from a book I have this resembles late 1700's-mid 1800's styles. Someone knowledgeable can tell you more just based on the metal ring and provide a more exact timeframe.

      Is that dirt on the inside or outside of the fame? If inside, it needs to be reframed ASAP!

      This fan form is called "fontange" and it was popular in 1890-1910s (Art Nouveau).
