    Hi

    I am trying to find the age of this piece of glass.and what it is for.

    My guess is it is a paperweight/pen holder ?

    It is engraved "Caithness Scotland" on the base.

    Any advice appreciated

      A wonderful item.
      I would just keep it as is.
      The condition is perfect.
      Best kept that way rather than using it.
