    Do not visit me unexpectedly.
    Leave immediately if asked.
I am fully armed and dangerous.

I think on average my Japanese glass would weigh 2kg each. The lightest piece I have is around 250gms, the heaviest around 6.5kgs. I have often thought my house is really full of potentially dangerous things.

This vase is even shaped as a weapon, although I'm sure that was not Marti's intent.

It's a very individual piece of glass. Bright green glass in the base, mid blue for the body and a very thick case of clear glass deposited mainly at the bottom.
The clear glass has been worked to form swirls and pockets, big enough for me to get my finger in. The neck has been drawn to a very attenuated shape.

It is tall, 42cm (16.5in), heavy , 4.6kg, and awesome.

A distinctive piece of Japanese art glass, circa 1980s.

Oh, Karen ... sometimes the pictures of your glass brings me to such a state. It is raining here, very quietly, and this vase is just the perfect thing to be looking at this moment. What must it be like to have this work of art in your home. I couldn't stop looking at it if I were you.

Lol, what a lethal weapon. It's a beauty ( I'd keep it by the front door, just in case :) I can't imagine glass as heavy as 6.5kgs!

Love the glass and the new pic. Honestly for the 1st time in my life you look exactly like I pictured. Words must be better than voices..on the phone..at work for me.
If that's you. ;) You're adorable!! and if not...you're still adorable!!

You have such a way with words Katherine; your comments are always feel good. Thanks.
I do have lots to look at in my house but I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel, involving a new window and moving doors and stuff. There is so much dust around and every bit of glass, picture, vase or other thing is dull and lifeless, so not beautiful. I think I might take a year or two to wash it all!

Ha Fran, I do have some biggish bits near the door but I would probably sacrifice myself before glass!!!
      Thanks for the love.

I am amazed that you could know how I look OGF! I am often misunderstood in my comments (woops) so thought people might imagine me looking cranky or smart arse!!
I'm embarrassed by your praise even though secretly happy to hear it....thanks!!

      Hi Karen,
Always more in Graçay, despite the space problems, although I now have a 3kg weight restriction which I ignore when it suits me.
I am thinking about posting a few items, may get round to it when time permits.

thank god nobody invaded your property so this can still be used as inspiration ,..as a weapon it can probably be used only once...
