When I first saw this I was astonished. This shape, in various sizes, is relatively common in a mother of pearl finish but I'd never seen it in green. I've never come across a name for this shape either so I'll call it 'Lumpy'.

The seller's photos seemed to show lots of surface imperfections but no mention of them in the text. The bowl duly arrived, the surface wasn't damaged in any way, but on turning it over the base wasn't flat like the others but had a martelé finish.

All of them sit on a tiny foot of about one centimetre in height. In picture four you can see the martelé continuing from the base to the lowest lumps above the foot. You can feel rather than see the martelé on most of the lumps. The martelé is also visible on the neck, here hidden by the frog.

    Height 12 cm./4.5 inches Diameter 12 cm./4.5 inches

Well "Lumpy" is a great word but is so wrong for this vase - nowhere near beautiful enough.
Maybe Chiron, after the minor lumpy planet.

I totally get it, but I wanted to be able to illustrate and refer to the martelé décor continuing over the bumps.

Perhaps I should have chosen 'bumpy', a little better and NevadaBlades could still have had his fun!

I don't know where your 'here' is but they are not common here in the UK. Thank you for the comment and I'm pleased you like it.
